The drugs were working. I felt comfortable, relaxed, even a little sleepy. Today might not yield my best work, but how hard could knitting really be?

As I waited for my YouTube queue to load, I arm myself with my materials; four impossibly slim, size 2 metal double-pointed needles and a massive cake of superfine cotton yarn. To quote the greatest philosopher of our time, SpongeBob, I was ready.

Creating is transformational

When you hear the word art, I would bet that home/hand-made clothing, accessories, and decor aren't really what pops to mind. But any act of creating IS art, regardless of whether the outcome is meant for gallery display or personal use.

Like most, struggle to connect “art”, “artist”, or “writer” to any descriptors of myself because I am not creating art for display that has gained recognition or written anything that has been published formally. But finding a way to connect yourself to art has been proven…
